Salisbury Pewter Jefferson Cup is a classic. Do you know the history of the famous Jefferson cup? Apparently, Thomas Jefferson had a friend who left him two silver cups in his will. Jefferson, who didn’t care for the cups’ style, wanted them redesigned and he sent them to a silversmith named, John Letelier, who melted themdown and produced a set of eight smaller cups. These new Jefferson cups were low in profile, with round bottoms. They soon became the Jefferson family’s favorites!
